We have over 300 staff and at the heart of our team are our Craft Ambassadors (pictured above left to right: Angela, Simon, Stuart, Dennis, Amanda, James and Di). They are our hit team of elite chefs and managers that go out and provide training, coaching and mentoring to all our catering staff.
They are led by Dennis Purcell our Food Service Director and they fully understand the Pride vision on food quality, presentation and customer service. They work to drive out quality menus, special theme days and implement exacting standards. Their mission is spread the word and share the company aspirations. Proud to be Pride!
James Estes – Area Manager & Chef
James joined Pride Catering in 2009 and has over 20 years’ experience at various levels within the catering industry. He joined Pride as a Relief Chef and has progressed to Area Manager & Chef where he supports our units across the business. One of his areas of speciality is contract mobilisation and he also gives focus to training and developing our teams.
Stuart Macgarvie – Area Manager & Chef
Stuart joined Pride in June 2010 and is a very ‘hands-on’ all-rounder who brings positive enthusiasm and a constant ‘can- do’ attitude to his role. Stuart started with Pride as a Chef Manager so understands the business well and is able to actively support the Chef Managers, especially with craft training
Described as a ‘star in the making’, Stuart won Pride’s Chef of the Year competition where he really demonstrated his skills for creative culinary.
Di Spearpoint – Area Manager & Chef
Di transferred to Pride Catering in 2012, when we were awarded a group Healthcare contract. Her enthusiasm, confidence and friendly way of working inspires her junior colleagues to work to the best of their abilities. Di has many years of catering experience, with the last 13 years being dedicated to the retirement sector; she is now one of our specialists for catering at Assisted Living. Di is a talented Chef and regularly a finalist at our Chef of the Year competition. She also has a natural flair for cakes and baking.
