With food costs on the increase Pride’s purchasing policy ensures we achieve best value for our clients, whilst mindful of sustainable procurement.

We only pick the best, insist on maximum freshness and have spent a great deal of time in building up a network of trusted local, regional and national suppliers.

Importantly, Pride are different in that we “multi nominate” suppliers for every commodity category – this gives our unit managers real choice of supplier, keeps our suppliers on their toes and ensures competitiveness in terms of quality, value and service.

Pride Catering Partnership are committed to the development of sustainable procurement throughout the supply chain.

We promote the use of local suppliers, Fairtrade, Farm Assured, Red Tractor & Soil Association organic products from accredited suppliers where possible.

To ensure our commitment to minimising any detrimental environment impact, we will on an annual basis, review our current working practices to minimise:-

  • Energy use (kWh)
  • Water use (cubic metres)
  • Waste disposal
  • Use of disposables/chemicals/hazardous materials
  • Transportation of food - food miles
  • Paper/packaging

We shall promote:-

  • Environmentally sound purchasing policies
  • Recycling of waste products

The focus of our activities is directed towards a sustainable future, compliance with environmental legislation and to continually review our own contribution towards achieving the goals we set ourselves.
