Catering at a prestigious Electronics Surrey HQ

 

When this world-class corporation electronics company moved to larger premises in 2003, Pride Catering was appointed to manage the daily staff cafeteria and hospitality. Since then, staff numbers have swiftly increased from 200 to the current 1200. And recently this has led to the implementation of the new, modern staff restaurant and hospitality facilities.

We provide an early bird breakfast service, a full hot lunch service, a deli bar, bespoke sandwich bar, grab n’ go, and extensive hospitality services together with beverage and snack vending. The staff increases have meant changes to the catering requirements and because we have a relatively ‘flat’ management structure with few layers, we have been able to respond and adapt quickly.

The site Facilities Manager adds “the demands of the various areas of the businesses based at Chertsey create very real challenges for all the facilities team, especially for the catering department. We often need services at unusual times of the day or week and we often have to change our requirements at short notice. The kitchen and restaurant were originally designed for around a third of the numbers that Pride currently serves. So innovation and good management have been key to the success. It is difficult to anticipate our requirements as a group when we have so many separate divisions all based here. Pride read our circumstances well and has been proactive in building a solid team so our various catering needs, including extensive hospitality catering are met. We are continuously seeing Pride introduce new offers across the entire catering service.”

Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.
